About the Item
Fine, 19th century, italian, carved & gilded pricket torchere upcycled into a floor standing lamp.
Finely carved with classical turnings and ornamentation, the gilding burnished to enhance the reflection of candlelight
Injects classical gravitas and period atmosphere into the interior
Decorated on all three sides and the base is finely carved with large fleur-de-lys
Original gilding can be refreshed if desired
Sturdy, usable condition.
The conversion is recent so it conforms to UK electrical standards.

Measures: height to top of candlestick : 99 cm., 39 inches.
height to top of light fitting, 128 cm., 50 ½ inches length from foot-to-foot 30 cm., 12 inches.
Top with fluted edge metal drip pan. The stem with baluster, mushroom and ball turnings ornamented with acanthus leaves, fluting and gadrooning. The triform base with fleur-de-lys, acanthus leaves and scroll feet.
