About the Item

Rare floor lamp of Kalmar. An early design classic that draws its elegance from the functionality of the design. The particularity lies in the arrangement of the lampshade. The saber-shaped shaft pierces the screen and passes upwardly projecting from the opening. The design allows a manual height adjustment. For this purpose, are located at regular intervals pins at the upper end in which the lamp shade is mounted the shaft. On the screen are to a temple and a wooden handle on the bottom. This simple height adjustment resulting from the actual design of this floor lamp as a reading light. Another special feature is the design of the foot. Instead of a heavy plate foot, the foot is bifurcated dissolved in two prongs here who wear the burden of the cantilevered shaft.
