Pair of Palatial Bronze and Steel Empire Style Torchieres
About the Item
Pair of palatial Empire style gilt and patinated bronze mounted steel torchieres. Each with a circular shallow dish form basin having a Greek-key and palmette detailed rim, on a fluted socle and conforming panel with nicely cast plumed Roman helmets, above "X" form striated steel rods centering large foliate paterae and ending in lion's paw feet, enclosing a stiff-leaf petaled blossom alternating anthemions, over a conforming leaf-tip trimmed plinth, fitted with halogen lighting.
