Rudi Stern
Rudi Stern founded the New York Studio and gallery Let There Be Neon in 1972 and was instrumental in the proliferation of neon as an art form in the 1970s and 1980s, executing commissions for such artists as Nam June Paik, Chryssa, Laurie Anderson, Jeff Koons, Robert Rauschenberg and Keith Haring. Most famously he is known for his neon work, which was commissioned for the infamous nighttime hot spot Studio 54.
