About the Item

Floor lamp constructed of stainless steel, chromed steel, aluminum and rosewood. designed by Johannes (Jo) Hammerborg (1920-1982) an Industrial designer who attended the Academy of Applied Arts in Denmark and was the artistic director of Fog & Morup, Denmark, he created over 100 designs for the company. The floor lamp has a rosewood handle for the two tier aluminum shade and rosewood feet for the tripod base which is a satin chromed steel, with a stainless steel lamp stem. The lamp is operated via a foot switch which is a soft gray in color with a dark gray contrasting button.

Condition:

Wear consistent with age and use. Wear to finish from age, the aluminum shade has wear and slight imperfections (see images) but a very nice vintage lamp with age related patina, fully working.
