Treetops Painted metal floor lamp by Memphis, Ettore Sottsass

About the Item

Treetops is not just a lamp. It is a true dynamic presence, slim and colorful, capable of bringing carefree joy to any space with its vivacious charm. The name Treetops is an ironic reference to the image of foliage bending in the breeze. The orange central part thus becomes the trunk, while the wedge-shaped base suggests the roots and the top evokes the upper branches, and the birds that make them their home. Painted metal floor lamp, cast iron base. Adjustable light point. Bulbs included: EU YES / US NO Format: x1 LED R7s max 120W

Memphis Milano is the great cultural phenomenon of the 1980s that revolutionized creative and commercial logics in design. Born from the idea of Ettore Sottsass and a group of young designers and architects, in Milan, coupled in the years by famous designers from the international scene, Memphis turned upside down all of the existing parameters on living. Ettore Sottsass as the backbone of the group, design gained a new concept and expression through new shapes, materials and patterns, expanding the creative limits of the industry.
