About the Item

Handcrafted and mouthblown, two-light Seguso Murano ceiling lamp. We actually bought this stunning Murano flush mount from the first owners. The mother from the lady from whom we purchased this stunning flush mount had acquired it in the late 1950s from a well respected, Amsterdam based dealer in high-end furniture and lighting by the name of Albert Jaspers. The last owner had this practical size flush mount in her hallway where it created a perfect atmosphere. The first owner, however, had this hand-crafted and exclusive Italian light fixture in her bedroom. We feel those are the two most obvious places to use this striking and very warm light radiating work of beauty. How the glass artists managed to evenly divide the 'crushed gold inclusions' in this flush mount is a mystery to us, but the result is amazing and for everyone to see. This work of Italian lighting art is in excellent condition and it will never fail to impress you or anyone visiting. The brass hanging can easily and safely be mounted onto your ceiling with four screws (or even less) via the metal 'ceiling plate'. The wire coming from your ceiling is connected to this fixture and then you simply put the Murano shade into place and screw it tight with the bronze finial at the bottom and the brass rings just above the finial. The glass shade can be placed tight to your ceiling or you can leave a minor opening. We forgot to shoot photos with the lights on, but we will include those here tomorrow. We have rewired this flush mount and it is now ready for safe & immediate usage in the USA as well and it will easily take two 80 watt bulbs, but two times 40 or 60 watts will suffice and it will also take LED bulbs. This great looking light therefor too is great value for money. But also, because perfect packing and worldwide shipping from our store to your door in just 2 to 4 workdays are complimentary as well.
