About the Item

Rare and beautiful antique hallway or master bedroom fixture. This large and stately Victorian chandelier from the pre-electrical light era is another one of our recent great finds. Its large size and unique, octagonal design with the hand-crafted metal leafs on top and the matching rosette at the bottom make it a true joy to own and look at. To us, it is amazing to see that an antique of this age comes with all the original antique glass panels still intact. The practical 'door' for changing the candle (or nowadays the bulb) still opens and shuts perfectly as well. In image 16 you can see the rose design, metal candle holder so this remarkable pendant can still be used as a candle lantern. Mind you, it has been rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage the world over, but that can just as easily be undone without changing the integrity of this rare antique. Finally, our price for this large size and ready to use light from the late 1800s even includes perfect packing and also worldwide delivery from our store to your door in just 5 days. Maximum height x diameter: 41 x 15.75 inches. Height of this antique lantern without the chain and canopy: 31.5 inches. Rewired: This rare candle lantern was made electric around 1910-1920 and it is now rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage the world over.
