Large Late 20th Century Louis XV Style Nickel on Bronze Lantern

About the Item

This exquisite modern lantern showcases the elegance of the French Louis XV style, crafted from nickel on bronze. Although the exact date of production is unknown, it is believed to have been commissioned after a period lantern, as it is entirely hand-crafted during a time when lighting was already being manufactured, we suspect the late 20th century. Featuring excellent proportions, this lantern is made of cast bronze with neoclassical architectural details and adorned with hand-cut and etched curved glass panels. It makes a grand statement in a hallway or entryway with tall ceilings. The intricate detailing on the bronze frame reflects the opulence and grandeur of the Louis XV era, while the high-quality craftsmanship ensures durability and timeless beauty. Perfect for adding a touch of historical charm and sophistication to any space, this lantern is a testament to the enduring appeal of classic French design. H= 57 in. W= 30 in. Weight=160 lbs.
