19th Century Pair of Italian Sconces Louis XVI Style Gilt Bronze, 1880 circa

About the Item

A pair of Louis XVI style, chiseled and gilt bronze three-armed antique wall sconces, of Italian origin, dating back to the late 19th century. Original and beautiful bronze casting and superb quality fire brilliant gilding. Topped by an urn shaped vase, the stem is embellished by tassels and vegetal motifs. Three foliate curved arms ending with floral shaped removable bobeiches, see image details. They hanged the walls of a luxury private apartment in Milan. They were just candleholders as you can see in the attached images, now they have new European standard wiring. Excellent condition. Measures: height: 46 cm Width: 30 cm Depth: 20 cm.
