Arlus Maison Style Three Sconces in Brass and Half Crystal

About the Item

Three wall sconces with a refined and pleasant design; the structure of each one, made of brushed and polished brass, is essential but of valuable workmanship, the fixing plates to the wall are made of brass stove enamelled black; all the light points of the wall sconces are provided with half-crystal glass with a slightly conical shape; after the classic processing of the half-crystal on the five glasses, a matt grinding has also been carried out to create a pleasant contrast; unlike crystal, the glass from which the half-crystal is produced does not contain lead; the half-crystal is facetted by machine and then put in an electric furnace to make the edges of the faces less sharp, then hot-polished or fire-polished to give it a bright and shiny finish with an ice effect; the half-crystal is native to Bohemia and after 200 years the half-crystals of the Czech Republic are still considered the most valuable Our sconces were produced in France in Arlus style (Art and Lustre) between 1958 and 1960; Maison Arlus was a French lighting manufacturer, very active since the 1950s and close to the modern design movement, it had its headquarters and a sales store in Paris, Arlus offered high quality products and an artistic and technical service to guide and personalize customers' choices. The composition of the three pieces can unleash your imagination by inventing the furniture solution that you like best, in fact in any way you place the sconces they will give you original and excellent lighting, occupying the space with taste and timeless elegance. The electrical system has been completely redone (see photo on the back of the black plate) with U.S. wiring, the compatibility of voltage in other states must always be verified by an electrician before use.
