Beautiful Gunnel Nyman "Gingerbread" Wall Lamp Model 71026 for Idman
About the Item
Nicknamed "gingerbread" because of the wavy rim on its brass shade, this stunning beauty was designed by Gunnel Nyman in the 1940s for Idman. The lamp is adjustable on three different axes, and with a telescopic arm and two wall supports, it can extend up to almost a meter in depth.
The lamp is in its original condition with a stunning patina. The electric wirings has been changed. A stamped version. We haven't seen this version lamp much, so seize the opportunity and buy now when on offer.
Gunnel Nyman (1909-1948) was a Finnish glass and metal artist, and one of the founders of modern Finnish glass design. She was also a proponent of early mass-produced glassware. Nyman's glassware is exhibited in museums internationally and her designs feature organic lines and a focus on the charasteristics of glass itself.
