About the Item
Chrysalis Wall, a wall lamp version design within the classic series that originally kicked off with the Chrysalis Sky floor lamp, is formed of a random configuration of hand-selected silk cocoons.
Each cocoon has an aura of ultra fine transparent silk fibre around it which subtly refracts and diffuses the light beautifully, and each element is attached to a hand-soldered wire matrix, a totally unique Ango technique.
Chrysalis Wall has been selected for Hotel Chavanel, the boutique hotel in Paris.

Branching is a wall hugging tree like structure, that carries on Ango’s experiments with using the magic of the chrysalis shell as a light diffuser. Each of the seven diffuser heads is composed of individual silk cocoons on a hand soldered wire matrix with around 300 soldering points on each diffuser, while the structure and the reflector behind each diffuser is in hand finished mirror polish stainless steel.
