Art piece from Bangkok Design Week 2022. Collaboration between
Ango + Krit Phutpim (Design director/ co-founder Dots studio)
Forms found in nature such as the hexagonal structure of the honeycomb, snowflake Formations and the structure of bubbles are all creations that nature has developed as extraordinarily efficient systems. In the Falong series, the complexity of bubble structures has been refined and reimagined to form three dimensional pieces, where light reflected and refracted between the light source and the structure of the light body
Falong is an exciting sculptural lighting collection that similarly brings a unique marriage of modern metallurgy and machining with age old hand forming techniques carried out by master craftsmen.

Transcendence 1 is a sophisticated pendant light first launched at Maison et Objet, Paris in January 2023. Flux lines of luminescence that have been created in a new composite Material developed by Ango are formed into a diaphanous cloud realised with light. The random configurations and differing intervals and intensity of the gossamer light Material beautifully modulate the light from the central light source.
The new composite Material, is the culmination of years of experimentation where tree bark fibre is combined with a unique natural plant derived stabiliser that has been lightened with a small amount of white pigmentation.
