An extremely elegant and high quality pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. Ormolu sconces. Each sconce is centered by a fine foliate bottom finial below the beautiful scrolled central support. The three scrolled arms display fluted designs, foliate bobeches, and candle cups. At the center are striking and richly chased acanthus leaves with a most impressive etched design in a captivating satin and burnished finish. All original gilt throughout.
