About the Item

A stunning pair of French 19th century Charles X st. ormolu sconces. Each four arm sconce is centered by a beautiful richly chased palmette from where the arms branch out. Each elegantly scrolled arm branches out from a unique crown like ring and displays fluted designs, an impressive array of intricately detailed foliate designs, lovely rosettes, acorn finials, and large acanthus leaves leading to foliate candle cups. All original gilt throughout.
