Pair of French 19th Century Charles X St. Ormolu Sconces

About the Item

An impressive pair of French 19th century Charles X st. ormolu sconces. Each six arm sconce is centered by a striking foliate backplate with beautiful scrolled acanthus leaves, ripe fruit, and blooming flowers. A single elegantly scrolled cornucopia designed support branches outward from where the beautiful arms are seemingly growing out. Five of the arms display a most decorative scrolled design and are adorned with richly chased foliate designs leading to superb foliate bobeches and floral candle cups centering a single straight arm decorated in the same manner. *Shades shown for display purposes only.
