About the Item
A finely detailed pair of French 19th century Neo-Classical st. Ormolu sconces. Each stunning three arm sconce is centered around an acorn bottom finial that is attached to a foliate decorated back plate. Each 'C' scrolled arm is decorated with berried acanthus leaves and a beaded bands below each candle cup. Standing atop the front arm is a winged cherub dressed in a flowing garment while holding a flaming torch above his head. The top crown on each sconce has a large scaled urn of prosperity with berried laurel vines around its base.
