About the Item

A wonderful and most decorative pair of Italian 18th century Louis XV st. Giltwood and patinated Bronze mirrored sconces. This stunning pair of sconces displays two bottom patinated Bronze candle cups held within a scalloped shaped Giltwood scroll. At the bottom center is a seashell reserve flanked by the candle cups and side corner foliate scrolls. The original fitted mirror plates are surrounded by an inner beaded design and additional scalloped foliate scrolls. The top is elegantly decorated by a central seashell like design flanked by pierced floral scrolls. All original gilt and patinated bronze finish throughout.
