About the Item

A stunning and most charming pair of Italian early 19th century Neo-Classical st. Giltwood and patinated wood mirrored sconces. Each wonderful two arm sconce is centered around a rectangular mid section with carved twisted edges. Inside the rectangle is an octagonal reserve with reeded edges and a centrally carved foliate rosette atop a patinated mirror plate. Below are the two 'C' scrolled arms dressed in acanthus leaves and connected by a swaging foliate garlands. The intricately pierced top crown above showcases a stunning acanthus leaf and floral decorations. *Shades shown for display purposes, sold separately.
