Pair of Italian Late 18th Century Giltwood Mirrored Sconces

About the Item

A sensational and very high quality pair of Italian late 18th century giltwood and wrought iron double framed mirrored sconces. Each two arm sconce retains all of its original mirrored backplates each framed within a beautiful richly carved beaded band. The elegantly scalloped border displays finely detailed floral and foliate designs with the two curved wrought iron arms branching out from an exceptional and most decorative seashell reserve. The top crown also displays beautiful scrolled foliate movements with an impressive hammered design and a rich satin and burnished finish throughout.
