Set of Four Italian 19th Century Louis XV St. Giltwood and Mirrored Sconces
About the Item
A stunning and most unique set of four Italian early 19th century Louis XV st. giltwood and Saxe porcelain mirrored sconces. Each charming sconce retains its original mirror plate set within an elegant and most decorative mottled frame with a lovely foliate wrap around band. At the base are exceptional scrolled foliate patinated metal arms with beautiful leaves and blooming Saxe porcelain flowers leading to patinated floral candle cups. The impressive top crowns display pierced seashell central reserves amidst floral carvings adorned by pierced striking scrolled designs at each side. All original gilt throughout.
