1930s Hand Carved Wooden Black Forest Owls and Tree Trunk Table / Desk Lamp

About the Item

Rare and truly stylish Black Forest table / desk lamp with two owl sculptures. With this rare owl table lamp you can create a very nice atmosphere on your desk or credenza or on a table in a corner of a room. This finely carved and superb condition specimen dates from around the Art Deco era here in Europe and that is exactly what this is, DECOrative ART. With the owl being the international symbol for wisdom and learning this piece also makes a great gift for a student, scholar or a professor. However, it will ofcourse also look great in your mountain lodge or cabin. Apart from being in superb condition, it also has a marvelous patina. The shade looks to be a little later (from the 1960s), but we feel that the previous owner did a great job finding this shade, because the natural green and brown in this shade are like tree-top autumn colors. This rare and great value for money lamp is rewired for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well and it will take one of your regular American screwthread bulbs of up to 100 watts, easily (LED as well). We used a 70 watt bulb and looking at the shade when the light is on that may have been a little too much. When purchased by one of our many American clients we will even attach an American power plug so that it can be used and enjoyed upon arrival. Mind you, our fair price for this rare, great condition and wonderful to look at Black Forest lamp includes perfect packing and also worldwide shipping from our store to your door in just 3 to 6 days. Maximum height x diameter (with the shade): 19.1 x 10.2 inches. Height without the shade but with the socket: 15.3 inches. Width x depth of the base: 7.4 x 4.9 inches.
