20th Century Italian Pineapple Lamp Base from Tuscany

About the Item

From Italy a very decorative Italian table lamp base entirely handmade by Bartolozzi & Maioli in Firenze, circa 1950s. On a faux marble gray color painted square stepped base, this lamp base rests on an ivory color fluted plinth and it is embellished with an hand carved and polychrome painted pinewood with green leaves. The price does not include the lamp shade, the shade is for imaging purpose only. Listed sizes refers to lamp base only. Wired for Italian standard suitable for an Edison 27 light bulb. It comes from a private villa in Orvieto, Umbria, central Italy. Good condition, minor painting losses, see image closed up, wear consistent with age and use. This artwork is shipped from Italy. Under existing legislation, any artwork in Italy created over 50 years ago requires a governative licence for export called Belle Arti. The shipping may require additional 2/3 handling weeks to require and get the license according to the final destination of the artwork.
