Antique Arts & Crafts Large Copper Indoor Fountain Table Lamp or Accent Light
About the Item
This large and substantial Arts & Crafts double domed light was once an indoor fountain and was presumed to have been made in the United States in circa 1900. The fountain component of the fountain is no longer functional as the pump has long since been removed, but still functions as a very unique accent lamp. The domes are made of leaded multicolored rock glass crystals, arranged in seemingly random but balanced deep greens and amber. There are two switches that allow one or both lights to be lit to emit a warm multicolored glow. The base, or basin of the fountain is a large copper rimmed bowl with a deep ruffled edge and a cauldron like bottom with heavy patinated legs, finished with ornate clawed feet. Around the perimeter of the basin are large red glass cabochons set with a diamond accenting surround. The legs are fastened to the basin with large rivets and a substantial thick band. The ornate clawed feet sit on a simple metal disc base. The light fixtures have been replaced over the years and both switches work and no damage noted to either shade.

One upper shade post has been replaced and it not as sturdy as the others. Overall wear is consistent with age and use and as presented.
