Antique French Neoclassical Cast Bronze & Slate Table Lamp with Silk Shade
About the Item
Antique French Neoclassical Cast Bronze & Slate Table Lamp with Silk Shade is a remarkable example of the splendor of the Romantic age, when classical architecture was revived in the spirit of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, to be enjoyed again by new generations. This example features two playful winged cherubs dancing about a tapered and fluted column, all rendered from solid cast bronze with a visually striking patinaed finish. The cherubs are mounted on a fluted column pedestal base crafted from polished slate. Above the column is mounted the chandelle, socket & harp with flame finial, and the fixture has been professionally electrified to US standards, ready to serve another generation or two! Price includes a high-quality hand-sewn pleated silk shade as shown.
