About the Item
Lampe veilleuse de la période Art Déco signée "Guirande", pseudonyme de Joe Descomps, un artiste français renommé de l'époque Art Déco. Elle représente une danseuse en bronze argenté, reposant sur un socle rectangulaire émaillé bleu. Elle se produit devant un rideau de perles et de baguettes en verre transparent qui rappelle celui d'une scène de théâtre. Le rideau est rétroéclairé et crée une lumière douce, enveloppante.
Joe Descomps, né en 1869 et mort en 1950, était un sculpteur et un bronzier français. Il a utilisé le pseudonyme "Guirande" pour signer certaines de ses œuvres, notamment ses créations Art Déco. Descomps était connu pour ses sculptures en bronze et ses objets décoratifs, qui combinaient souvent des éléments classiques et des formes géométriques.
