Austrian, Arts & Crafts Table Lamp, Red Shade, w/Owl Faces in Jewels ca. 1910

About the Item

This very special table lamp has many unique and distinct qualities. The richly patinated base, done in the arts & crafts tradition is hammered and on all 4 sides displays glass jewels with owls faces cast in the glass. 2 of the jewels are dark green w/ opalescent glass eyes, while the opposing sides have the reverse, displaying opalescent jewels w/dark green glass eyes. A most fascinating feature. The hand blown crackle glass shade is a ruby red in color. We can plainly state that this is a most beautiful and unusual table. Would work well in an arts & crafts setting, or really in any setting.
