Brass Desk/Banker's Lamp w/ Double Adjustment and Art Glass Shade, ca. 1910
About the Item
This lamp is both handsome and very practical. It has 2 knuckles up near the top and one near the bottom where you can easily adjust the height and width of the lamp. The brass base is weighted at the bottom and is very stabile. It is nicely factory patinated in a warm brown color. The shade has an unusual shape and a pebbly texture on the outside, the inside is smooth. There are no cracks or chips to the shade and the base is likewise in super condition. This lamp was truly taken case of over the years. Emeralite made many lamps like this and on occasion they incorporated an unusual shade as opposed to the standard green colored glass. It is however unsigned.
A very nice lamp for a desk, or any other area that needs light. Our measurements of the lamp were taken with it as shown in our primary photograph.
