About the Item
Wonderful lamp in the Bauhaus style from the 1950s: Large table lamps from the company Joseph Brumberg Sundern (JBS) from West Germany (Sauerland). This lamp is also often attributed to Egon Hillebrand. The very solid lamp impresses with its surface made entirely of brass. It has a heavy base with a metal core and a curved lamp neck with a convex brass shade. The desk lamp emits a bright, pleasantly glare-free light thanks to the large lampshade. The lamp is in good original condition with a light patina on the surfaces. The lamp has a slight dent on the rear foot - see photo - otherwise everything is fine. The design of the base indicates that this is probably one of the rare last models of this lamp: the older models only have a simple push button switch and a slight profiling on the vertical edge.
