Carl-Harry Stålhane (1920-1990) is one of the most renowned representatives of Swedish ceramic design, and is well-known as one of the artistic leaders for Designhuset in the mid-20th century. His name is synonymous with high ceramic quality, magnificent creative design and brilliant craftsmanship - as is his collaborator, Kent Eriksson. This table lamp is an exceptional example of their talent. The overall design of this lamp has a clear focus on the ceramic body. The unique base features a beautiful brown glaze, a clear artistic touch by Stålhane and Eriksson. The circular fabric shade also provides the perfect pairing with the round body. With a combination of interesting material choices and design, this lamp has an innovative, modern look that is just as much a work of art as it is a utilitarian piece. The overall aesthetic is essentially Nordic modern, thanks to the combination of interesting material choices and a design that is inspired by cosy shapes.
