About the Item
This is a beautiful, elegant, rather tall and slender hand-blown vintage glass lamp base, handmade by the talented Bengt Orup for Hyllinge glasbruk, Sweden. The piece has a beautiful and simple conical shape, which gives a very modern feeling to it. What makes it so special and stunning is the colors, again a very simple decor has been used with a white base dotted with thousands of very small black dots, which makes it a unique and sophisticated statement piece which will add to any interior decor.
It is 41cm (16.14") high with the lamp fitting, and 12cm (4.72") it is in a very a good condition and the price includes free shipping.
Note that this lamp has a plug suitable for Sweden and many other Eu countries and that it takes an E27 bulb and the lamp shades arenot included.

Hyllinge and its history; from household production to design and art glass
Hyllinge became synonymy with bold art and design glass from the 1950s and onwards. Very much due to Bengt Orup and Gert Nyström, who also worked at Johannesfors glasbruk. Orup designed often using streamlined or organic shapes in the design with simple colors in his art glass, which is what the company became famed from. His design has had a revival in the last few years, when more and more people appreciate and value both the skilled craftmanship as well as outstanding design that is so typical for glass from Hyllinge. Here Orup made some iconic glass designs for the firm. Which often had a more sober silhouette in the design with stricter lines, making them very distinct and stunning.
