French 19th Century Louis XVI St. Biscuit De Sèvres Porcelain and Ormolu Lamp
About the Item
A stunning and extremely decorative French 19th century Louis XVI st. Biscuit de Sèvres porcelain and ormolu lamp. The lamp is raised by a beautiful square ormolu base with concave corners, charming foliate designs, and a finely detailed wrap around berried laurel band. Above the socle shaped pedestal support is the elegantly shaped body decorated with charming and intricately detailed foliate designs, wrap around bands, and swaging floral garlands with cherubs playing and dancing with musical instruments and books. At each side are richly chased ram heads while the tops display additional exceptional foliate designs.
