Handmade Brass and cast Bronze Oiseau Table lamp with 3 flying birds in Copper
About the Item
Designed and manufactured by Andrew Kornat Designs the Oiseau Table lamp was inspired by a set of Bronze 1950s flying bird wall sculptures. Andrew's workshop made models of 3 different size birds in a mid century modern style with sleek lines and elegant curves in the silhouette of birds in motion and cast them in Bronze using the sand cast method
The 3 birds have been attached to a thick grade brass rod supported by a plinth made from 5mm plates of solid brass which are chamfered and welded internally to create the clean sharp edges of the cube base. The birds have been attached to the rods such that they can rotate horizontally and can be positioned differently on each lamp - a little playful interaction with the sculptural elements of the lamp
The central rod has two lamp holders pointing down to illuminate the cast bronze bird details and has a finial fitting shade with a mouth blown glass finial.
we have this pair available for immediate delivery in Matt and Polished Copper - as well as two other listings, but many other combinations of finishes are available to custom order. The lamps are wired with EU/ UK cable and E27/ES Lamp holder, however we can re-wire them for the USA Market for a small additional cost (or no additional cost if ordering a new pair)
We have shown these lamps with a variety of shades that can be ordered separately. But we have stock of the both the Polished Nickel and Matt Nickel Brass drum shades - please ask for more details if required
