About the Item
Hathor is the first collaboration between Farrah Sit and TRNK Collection. The collection is inspired by Farrah’s pilgrimages to ancient monolithic structures and her reactions to their divinity and timelessness. In deference to the gentleness of raw materials, each design balances levity and weight, negative and positive space. Hathor - with its generous curves and continuous forms - evokes the cyclical and infinite exchanges between past and present.

Farrah Sit’s work expresses her process of material reduction, wedding spareness with the inherent grace of natural elements. Each piece is a contemplation on essentiality. The designs draw inspiration from the natural world, her exacting attention to detail allows her to channel a peaceful, organic beauty in her work. Her work surfaces beauty from wells of tension, foregrounding unseen space and forces: the moment breath is lost to anticipation, when an icicle is about to plummet, a band to snap, a wave to crash, an echo to fade.
