About the Item

Table lamp designed by Nils Kähler made by Herman A. Kähler´s ceramic workshop in Denmark in the 1960´s Nils Kähler (1906-1979) was fourth generation of the family Kähler. He and his brother Herman Jørgen Kähler, who were in charge of Kähler´s ceramic workshop from 1940, brought the artistic expressions of the ceramic production into the Mid-century period. The lamp base has a multi angular form decorated with glossy dark purple glaze. A broard band at the top is left smooth without glazing. Included is a new lampshade designed in Denmark. It is made of woven fabric with some texture and natural white color. It has a top cover so it will spread a cozy light downwards. Incised with the initials HAK for Herman A. Kähler and Denmark + Nils for Nils Kähler + Denmark Measurements: Height including lampshade 45 cm Height ceramic part only 25 cm Height ceramic part + socket 33 cm Diameter lamp base 11,5 cm Diameter shade 26 cm Very nice vintage condition with full function, out chips, cracks or repairs The lamp comes with a European plug Use light bulb for type E 27 Edison screw-fitting.
