Herman A. Kähler Tall in 27 Table Lamp Turquoise Glaze Denmark Mid-Century
About the Item
Tall table lamp designed by Nils Kähler and made by Herman A. Kähler´s ceramic workshop in Denmark in the 1960´s
Nils Kähler (1906-1979) was fourth generation of the family Kähler. He and his brother Herman Jørgen Kähler, who were in charge of Kähler´s ceramic workshop from 1940, brought the artistic expressions of the ceramic production into the Mid-century period.
The lamp foot has an incised zig-zag pattern and the glossy glaze is turquoise-blue. A band at the top is left smooth without glazing.
Included is a new lampshade designed in Denmark. It is made of woven fabric with some texture and natural white color. It has a top cover so it will spread a cozy light downwards.
Incised with the initials HAK for Herman A. Kähler and Denmark + Nils for Nils Kähler + made in Denmark
