Herman A Kähler Tall In 27 Tablelamp Turquoise Glaze Made in Denmark Mid-Century

About the Item

Tall table lamp designed by Nils Kähler and made by Herman A. Kähler´s ceramic workshop in Denmark in the 1960´s Nils Kähler (1906-1979) was fourth generation of the family Kähler. He and his brother Herman Jørgen Kähler, who were in charge of Kähler´s ceramic workshop from 1940, brought the artistic expressions of the ceramic production into the Mid-century period. The lamp foot has an incised zig-zag pattern and the glossy glaze is turquoise-blue. A band at the top is left smooth without glazing. Included is a new lampshade designed in Denmark. It is made of woven fabric with some texture and natural white color. It has a top cover so it will spread a cozy light downwards. Incised with the initials HAK for Herman A. Kähler and Denmark + Nils for Nils Kähler Measurements: Height including lampshade 70 cm Height ceramic part only 40 cm Height ceramic part + socket 48 cm Diameter lamp foot 16 cm Diameter shade 38 cm Height shade 29 cm Very nice vintage condition with full function, out chips, cracks or repairs The lamp comes with a European plug Use light bulb for type E 27 Edison screw-fitting.
