About the Item

Tall table lamp designed by Nils Kähler and made by Herman August Kähler´s ceramic workshop in Denmark in the 1960´s Nils Kähler (1906-1979) was fourth generation of the family Kähler. He and his brother Herman Jørgen Kähler, who were in charge of Kähler´s ceramic workshop from 1940, brought the artistic expressions of the ceramic production into the Mid-century period. The lamp base has a snake skin pattern and a glossy dark turquoise blue blue. A band at the top is matte dark brown. Included is a new lampshade designed and made in Denmark. It is made of woven fabric with some texture and off white color. It has a top cover so it will spread a cozy light downwards. Incised with the initials HAK for Herman August Kähler and number 613-37 Measurements: Height including lampshade: 67 cm (26.38") (the height can be adjusted) Height ceramic part only (without socket): 37 cm (14.57”) Diameter lamp base: 15 cm (5.90") Diameter shade: 38 cm (14.96") Very nice vintage condition with full function, without chips, cracks or repairs Light bulb: For type E26/E27 Edison screw-fitting. The lamp is made for Scandinavian outlet. If you use other plugs in your country you can either use an adapter or exchange it with a plug used in your country.
