Italian Table Lamp 18th Century Baroque Vase Silver Beige Lampshade

About the Item

Silver-plated 1700s table lamp with fan shade, demi-lune of Italian provenance. This is a baroque palm vase made of silvered copper foil, embossed only on the front side this artifact from the late 1700s features rich decoration in the style of the Baroque and has been transformed into a versatile table or desk lamp particularly suitable for leaning against the wall. In fact, the wraparound fan lampshade makes it possible to create striking plays of light; thanks at its rear opening draws reflections of light on the wall to great decorative effect. The lampshade is handmade from light beige fabric with a decorative geometric diamond pattern and centered by antique embroidery, a burnished gold flower, that makes it a unique and unrepeatable object. Electrified to European standards, electrical system working with one E27 bulb for a maximum power output of 100 watts. For the export from Italy of an art object that is more than 50 years old, a government export license called BELLE ARTI must be applied for. the issuance of such a license takes about 2 to 3 weeks, to be added to the order processing time.

A stunning Italian gilt copper ewer dating back to 18th century with a circular body featuring a quadripartite decoration defined by the repoussé of a double vertical ribbed frame that frames tableaux decorated with floral scrolls; the background of these sections is finely dotted by chisel tool to underline a very pleasant relief to the embossed parts thanks to the burnishing. An excellent and unique hand-made pitcher, selected in a private collection of Northern Italy. This rare golden jug was created to serve wine during the Eucharistic celebration, the Christian liturgical practice. it is an Italian work of art that dates back to 1700, with a wonderful fire gilding, for collectors. In good age related condition regardless of a small dent in the middle part of the body, consistent with the eighteenth-century dating. The cast handle takes up the motif of the volutes present on the body of the ewer. The spout is closed by a hinged lid with a small floral knob, with minimal deformations near the hinge compromising its perfect closure. In the upper part, there are welding signs...
