About the Item
The table lamp Cosa Nostra is an sculptural lamp made in a highly polished acrylic glass and with a base in leather. Observing from different angles the reflection creates the sight of one or more revolvers drawing in the acrylic glass: Impossible to understand which is the real or the reflected image. Source of illumination: LED, wiring for US and European market available.
Table lamp dimension: L 25 x W 25 x H 27 cm.
Limited Edition of 20.
Each lamp is hand signed and numbered by the artists (engraved), 100% handmade in Italy and comes with a “Certificate of Authenticity”.
We took a revolver, deadly and provocative, put it on display without any taboo, even illuminating it. But at the same time locking it up in a solid block of acrylic glass, visible, fascinating but completely untouchable, useless. The lamp is named after a sadly enough very famous killing machinery: The Cosa Nostra.
The artworks by Barberini & Gunnell are regularly shown at international art fairs, such as PAD London, PAD Genève, PAD Monaco, Salon Art and Design New York, Art Miami.

We carefully pack all artworks in strong wooden crates to ensure safe transport. This service is done directly in our atelier and is complimentary.
All of our artworks travel with a shock watch system in order to monitorate rough handling by shippers and movers.

Atelier Barberini & Gunnell was founded in 2009 by the architects Francesco Barberini and Nina A. Gunnell, as the result of a passion followed for a long period of time, creating one-off pieces and collectible design in limited editions; artworks far from the industrial reality. The cultural mix between the two artists with Italian, English and Austrian backgrounds results in unique architectural and interior design projects. From several private clients and collectors emerges the request for the conception and realization of ‘living art’, customized furniture for their special homes. The table lamp 'BeMine 33' is composed of a sphere in mirror polished stainless steel and 33 sources of illumination. The highly polished stainless steel allows interesting games of reflection on the surface of the sphere, this also appears when the lamp is switched off. The base of the lamp is composed of a block of transparent methacrylate, the customer has the possibility to customize the base of the lamp as desired by choosing from various types of marble, onyx or wood essences.
Source of illumination: Halogen 12V/5W or LED, wiring for US and European market available, a dimmer regulates the intensity of light.
