About the Item
Table or floor lamp in the manner of Tiffany, late 20th century.
A sculptural ovoid form entirely handcrafted in a mosaic of iridescent mother-of-pearl glass panels, each piece meticulously cut and joined using the traditional copper foil technique with soldered joints, likely in tin alloy, to create a seamless, flowing geometry. The irregular grid of opaline, blush, ivory, and pale grey segments forms a luminous patchwork that changes character between day and night: softly reflective when unlit, and warm, glowing, and subtly opalescent when illuminated.
The organic shape recalls a smooth river stone, while the patterning evokes a modernist stained-glass abstraction. Perfect as a statement table lamp or a low, atmospheric floor light, it radiates both craftsmanship and artistry.
In very good condition with minimal signs of age. Fully functional.
