MAGNIFICENT Mid Century Table Lamp! Attributed to Richard Barr for Laurel Lamp Company! Incredible Brushed Brass! Excellent Condition! Iconic Brass "Starburst" Design! One of the finest table lamps in the world! This clean Danish Modern table lamp is a tribute to the lamp maker's art! Danish lamp design was the cutting edge of both style and innovation after the second world war. Laurel lamp had been a high end lamp maker since the late thirties and by the sixties hired noted designers to design some lamps for them. This Spectacular table lamp is attributed to Richard Barr. This lamp is beautiful! a single socket can be lit and provides ample illumination. The lamp is the very definition of mid century modern elegance and yet fits perfectly with today's nouveau 20th century furnishings style. Lamp is in very fine condition! The brushed brass is still excellent! The wood appliques are amazing and still lustrous! Presents beautifully! A decorator's dream! Rare new - much rarer now. They truly don't make fine lamps like this anymore and haven't for almost half a century. A superb acquisition for your NY penthouse, Palm Springs atomic ranch, Rancho Sante Fe estate or Atherton compound!
