About the Item
The monkey warming his hands on the fire in a barrel ranks among his most whimsical achievements.
The marble base has splendid veining and colors and is in very fine condition.
I've installed an American candelabra socket as far down in the barrel as it can go, and in most of these pictures you see a red Christmas tree bulb. There are probably smaller bulbs available, I just happened to have this one on hand. In image #8 I've installed a seven-watt candelabra bulb, the smallest clear bulb that I have. There's a switch on the cord about 10" from the marble.
