About the Item

Mid-19th century French bouliotte lamp. Painted tole shade. Excellent scale and design, circa 1840-1860 in the Directoire style The open work basket form base was used to retain the dice used for the game. Period Bouliotte lamps are scarce lighting pieces. This one never electrified with an ornate three candle cluster. Candle cluster and shade adjust as designed. This can be electrified or used as intended with candle light.
