MID 19th CENTURY EMPIRE BOUILLOTTE LAMP
About the Item
Elegant bouillotte desk lamp from the Empire period. The stem is made of bronze and has a green patination, and is decorated with phytomorphic elements (including a pine cone in the center), a lyre at the top and two mirror-image erotes at the base. The base is also in dark patinated bronze with gilt bronze finishes, including a laurel wreath in the center. The lampshade is made of canvas, truncated cone-shaped with golden finishes. The production can be ascribed to English manufacturing and can be dated back to the mid-19th century.
