Gorgeous Mid-Century Modern lava glazed large scale squatty table lamp with new black faux silk drum shade. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. This lamp has been totally gone through, rewired, and the base has new felt and a fresh coat of black paint. The brass shaft has some patina. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Mid-20th Century.

Big… bold… and absolutely beautiful!!! This is a marvelous large scale table lamp featuring a fabulous textured metallic brown and black lava glaze over a golden tan base, a fabulous brass shaft, a black finial, a lovely round black painted base, and a phenomenal new faux silk drum shade. The glaze has the appearance of burst bubbles of lava and resembles an ombre technique as metallic black/brown is darker on the top of the body of the lamp and lighter on the sides… it is AMAZING. And it has a unique element where different lighting radiates different tones, it’s really stunning. It has a beautiful bulbus body and we think it could be Italian as it resembles several Italian lava glazed lamps throughout our extensive research however, it is not marked. It is definitely large scale with a squatty body of 16 inch in diameter, it stands 13 inches high, and has a 23 inch in diameter new black faux silk drum shade!!!! Talk about a STATEMENT piece!! It screams Mid-Century Modern magnificence and will be gorgeous on an end or side table in your living room, on the sofa table in the family room, or an accent table in the hall or entry way. It will blend in beautifully with practically any style décor, in any room you choose but… it’s a spectacle all on its own! A table lamp of this eclectic stature won’t last long. If you love it even half as much as we do, you should DEFINITELY make it yours!!
