Neoclassical Gilt Candelabra Style Two Candle Table Lamp

About the Item

A beautiful two-light candelabra makes for perfect statement lighting. This lamp was produced circa 1925 to 1950, and it exudes design chic and grace. This is a heavy piece that includes iron scrolls and brass elements in a size that is not too big and not too small. The Neoclassical influence is clear and reflects the period circa 1900-1940. The candlesticks and lines are consistent with neoclassical simplicity and form. The lamp reflects European style and craftsmanship, surmounted by a stylized flame finial over a fluted tapering shaft, and two S-scroll candle arms support the acanthus-decorated bobeche. The lamp rests on a squared block plinth base. It is electrified and the on/off switch is located on the cord. The lamp is in good condition, although there are some marks on the gilt finish. It is 21 inches high, 12 inches wide and 5 1/2 inches deep. It is an estate sale find.
