About the Item
A beautiful pair of Charles X table lamps featuring stems and bases painted to imitate red marble (faux marble), mounted with gilt bronze accents and fine ciselé detailing.
The lamps remain in their original, untouched condition with an elegant natural patina.
France, 1820-1830.
Believed to originally have been candelabra, as suggested by holes in the gilt bronze rings, possibly for candle arms.
Later converted to table lamps with electrification.
