About the Item
A most elegant pair of Russian early 19th century Neo-Classical st. ormolu, crystal and white Carrara marble three arm Girandole lamps. Each Girandole is raised by a square white Carrara marble base with concave corners, a mottled design and wrap around beaded ormolu bands. The circular marble supports display fluted designs leading up to striking elegantly curved arms with finely detailed eagle heads, richly chased acanthus leaves and foliate candle cups. Most impressive tapered crystal daggers lead upwards and are centered by charming crystal chains. Above each Girandole are beautiful ormolu sprays with superb prism cut crystal pendants. All original gilt throughout.
